The castor comprises a housing, in which a wheel is accommodated on its axle, the housing being pivotably connected to a fastening peg which is arranged perpendicularly with respect to the wheel axle at a trailing distance therefrom. In order to facilitate fitting and repair, the wheel with its axle is arranged in a bearing cage which, for its part, can be inserted into the housing.
