PURPOSE:To prevent the tilt and the vertical oscillation of both magnetic heads as well as the resonance of them at the arm mechanism side, by securing such a constitution where a gimbal spring matter has the fixed positional relation with a carriage at the position where both heads are opposite to each other and has the freedom of motions only in the circumferential direction of a magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:A gimbal spring matter 4 has the freedom of motions only in the circumferential direction of a magnetic disk 3. When the 2nd magnetic head 9 is pressed to the 1st magnetic head 5 by an energizing spring 10 via the disk 3, the matter 4 has the fixed positional relation with a carriage 1 at the position where both heads 5 and 9 are opposite to each other. Here the reference surface of the disk 3 is set by the head 5 and at the same time the tile of the head 5 is controlled by the head 9. Futhermore both heads 5 and 9 follow both sides of the disk 3 to secure the satisfactory contact pressure. Thus the stable output is supplied to both magnetic heads.
