PURPOSE:To obtain a spectrally sensitized photosensitive photographic element having high photosensitivity by forming at least one layer contg. at least one kind of specified compound when a photosensitive photographic element consisting of a support, a silver halide emulsion layer and other layers is produced. CONSTITUTION:When a photosensitive photographic element consisting of a support, a silver halide emulsion layer and other layers is produced, at least one layer contg. at least one kind of compound represented by formula I is formed. In the formula, each of terminal groups R1, R2 is optionally substituted alkyl, and each of side chain rings Z, Z' is a group of nonmetallic atoms required to form a 5- or 6-membered ring which may have a substituent. The compound is synthesized by reacting a deriv. of a heterocyclic quat. salt having an active methyl group with 2,6-diemthyl-4H-pyrane-4-thione and by bringing the resulting intermediate into a reaction. |
