Edge protection and sealing profile

The invention relates to an edge protection and sealing profile, especially for window and/or door frames of vehicles, having two retaining parts, each of approximately U-shaped cross-section and moulded from a hard plastic, and a soft-plastic or rubber sealing part in the form of a lip and/or hollow bead adjoining the said retaining parts, the U profiles of the retaining parts being formed by three legs and a common yoke lying in one plane and connecting the legs. Here the problem arises that the force required to pull the profile off the vehicle frame is to be increased and that the thickness tolerances of the supporting flange of the vehicle frame are to be better compensated and hence the sealing effect improved. For this purpose, a tubular hollow bead with a reinforcing web for clamping the profile firmly on a longitudinal member is formed integrally on at least one leg of the retaining parts.
