The invention relates to a rear view mirror for motor vehicles with blinking direction indicators which can be supplied with the current needed for blinking by means of a blinking switch, an internally arranged pump being activated when the blinking switch is actuated. The invention consists in that an adjusting cylinder is arranged in the mirror casing and a pressure piston which can be acted upon a fluid medium is arranged in the adjusting cylinder and is operatively connected to the reflecting plate.
