A LAMELLA SEPARATOR

In a lamella separator for separation of heavy and/or light substances from a carrier liquid and consisting of a separator tank (10) with an inlet (16) and an outlet (20), the lamella assembly consists of a plurality of helicoid lamella (23) which are screwed into one another and from spiral-shaped liquid channels (24). The centrifugal forces occurring because of the curvature of the liquid paths cause transverse flows in the channels which promote the separation of both heavy and light substances. Such a lamella assembly is moreover particularly suitable for incorporation in cylindrical walls.
