<p>For the automatic shifting of step-by-step shift gears (1) the device provides an electronic control unit (2) for the determination of shifting points (61 to 78) for shifting gears; also a selection switch (3, 30) for the parking and/or neutral position (N) and the forward (D) and reverse (R) drives. The shifting points (61 to 78) are determined in accordance with the speed of the vehicle and the torque requirements (position of the gas pedal (4)), as well as the acceleration (5). The latter is calculated by the electronic control device (2) from the speed of rotation of the gear output shaft (11). Switching commands are allocated to the shifting point, the former including shift jumps over one or more gear steps. The allocation of the shift commands is effected based on experience or the commands are calculated and correspond to the shifting behaviour of a very good driver using a comparable hand shifting gear.</p> |
