Ventilation device on a wall section (1) of a motor vehicle, with a swivellable wall part (2), in which a ventilation aperture (6), closable by the swivel movement, is provided on the end face and an air outlet aperture (12) on its upper side. The ventilation aperture (6) and the air outlet aperture (12) are connected to an air feed duct running in the wall section (1), in which duct a shut-off element provided with a handle is arranged. When the wall part (2) is swung up the handle forcibly closes the air outlet aperture (12) by way of an adjusting device. <IMAGE>
