PURPOSE:To color stably hydrogen peroxide at about 6pH with high sensitivity by using a coupling system of an EHS-anisidine or ES-anisidine or the salt thereof and MBTH as an chromogen. CONSTITUTION:The hydrogen peroxide coloring agent is constituted of 3- methyl-2-benzothiazolinone-hydrazone hydrochloride, peroxidase and N-ethyl-N-(2-hydroxy-3-sulfopropyl)-m-anisidine or the salt thereof or 3-methyl-2- benzothiazolinone-hydrazone hydrochloride, peroxidaze and N-ethyl-N-(3- sulfopropyl)-m-anisidine or the salt thereof and is colored at 5-6.5pH. The stable coloration of the hydrogen peroxide is thus made possible with high sensitivity and the accurate measurement of the metabolite and enzyme in the purine metabolic route via XOD is made possible.
