<p>PURPOSE:The titled particle having a small difference between its surface zeta potential and that of a protoplast and a function of adsorbing and stabilizing a photoplast, obtained by (co)polymerizing a monomer having a polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated group. CONSTITUTION:A monomer having a polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated group (e.g., styrene or methyl methacrylate) is (co)polymerized to obtain the purpose resin particles having a surface zeta potential which differs from that of the protoplast to be adsorbed, by at most + or -40mV and preferably having a particle diameter of 0.5-1,000mu and a specific gravity of 0.8-2.5. These resin particles are allowed to adsorb protoplasts derived from plant cells to produce a conjugate having an ability to withstand changes in a physical or chemical environment. By cultivating this conjugate in a synthetic medium or the like, the protoplasts can be cultivated at a high rate of survival.</p> |
