<p>The inside of the sheath is hollow (1) so that it can be inserted on all the common standard laryngoscope blades eg: Allyn, Miller, Penton, Phillips, Scott, Wisconsin etc. The width of the sheath is wider than the common blades and the shape (3) of the sheath is curved, so that the tongue can be lifted stabily without slipping. There is a hole (5) in the bottom of the sheath so that the light of the laryngoscope blade can shine through the hole and the trachea can be seen. This makes the intubation easier, smoother and quicker, the complications of intubation will decrease and unnecessary death will be avoided. Because this sheath is disposable after each single use, cross infection will be prevented.</p> |
