A description is given of an insertable installation block (11) for WCs (12), which block is provided with a flushing device having a flushing pipe (16), with supply and discharge lines (16, 17) and with fastening means for the WC bowl. Furthermore, the installation block (11) is fitted with an extractor fan (21), which is connected to the flushing pipe (16) via a foul-air line (23), and with an electronic control device, having a proximity switch (57), for the extractor fan (21), with the result that the installation block may also be used for automatic venting of WCs. <IMAGE>
