The invention relates to a wooden structural part with a reinforcement made of metal or another dimensionally stable material, especially for door wings. The object on which the invention is based is to design the reinforcement of wooden structural parts in such a way that, along with the elimination of deformation phenomena of the wood structure to a high degree and a simple production in keeping with existing factory equipment, the heat-insulating effect of the wood is very largely preserved. In a solution, according to the invention, for achieving the object, measures relating both to the choice of material and to the shape are adopted individually or in combination, specifically in that, on the one hand, material of high strength and low coefficient of thermal conduction are used for the reinforcement and, on the other hand, regions of the reinforcement which are adjacent to the expected warmer side of the wing or other wooden structural part are given dimensions smaller by a multiple than the adjoining surfaces of the reinforcement. The reinforcement itself is preferably produced from material with a low coefficient of thermal conduction, especially plastic.
