Heat pump heating installation

In a heat pump heating installation, an on-off valve 7 opens a branch line 6 of the heat pump circuit 1 for defrosting the evaporator 2. In order to accelerate the defrosting process, without the compressor 3 switching off at the end of the defrosting process as a result of the response of an overpressure switch 15, a circulating pump 9 of the heat transmission circuit 8 switches off at the beginning of defrosting. The on-off valve 7 is controlled by a delay circuit 13 which, at the end of defrosting, keeps the on-off valve 7 open for a delay time.
