PURPOSE:To increase heat stability of electrolyte and shelf life by adding sparteine to an electrolyte using a specified Lewis acid as a solute. CONSTITUTION:Sparteine is added to an electrolyte using Lewis acid indicated in the general formula I as a solute. Spateine, also called lupinidine, is oily liquid existing in genista and forms stable complex with Li<+> ion of Lewis acid salt indicated in the general formula I in which two tertiary amines are ionized in the electrolyte to stabilize the electrolyte. Thereby, heat stability of electrolyte is increased and deterioration in battery performance during storage is decreased. |
