<p>PURPOSE:To attain to increase a recording speed by raising the temp. on a recording medium, by a method wherein a two-dimensional thermal head consisting of plural thermal element lines is used and a signal is applied to each thermal element line in synchronous relation to the movement of a thermal recording medium and different thermal elements driven by the same recording signal is successively contacted with the same point on the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:For example, in the case of a two-dimensional head 10 consisting of two thermal element lines, signals 41 shown by numerals 51-60 are respectively applied to a thermal element line 1 so as to correspond to the elements of said line. Thereafter, an ink sheet 11 and recording paper 12 move and, when the point present on the thermal element line 2 on the recording paper 12 reached the point of a thermal element line 2, the same signal 45 applied to the thermal element line 1 is applied to the thermal element line 2 in synchronous relation to the movement of the ink sheet 11 and the recording paper 12. The above mentioned processes are successively repeated. That is, one thermal recording is performed by plural physically different thermal recordings. Because the paper 12 moves the width of the thermal element for a time 1/2 a conventional one, the running speed of the paper 12 comes to two times the one line head.</p> |
