PURPOSE:To improve the electrical and mechanical insulation of the titled superconductive coil by a method wherein a mica tape to be used for a fire resistant wire and quartz glass fibers or silicate glass fibers are used for the insulation of a superconductive conductor. CONSTITUTION:A mica tape to be used for a fire-resisting wire is wound around a superconductive conductor, and heat-resisting glass fibers such as quartz glass fibers or silicate glass fibers, for example, are wound on the mica tape in order to tighten and protect the mica tape. By constituting the insulating layer as above-mentioned, the insulating layer can endure the heat treatment which is performed for formation of a compound. However, as the mechanical strength of the insulating layer is still insufficient, synthetic resin is impregnated thereon and after it is hardened after the heat treatment is finished, and the electrically and mechanically excellent insulating layer can be obtained. |
