PURPOSE:To convert simply a PRESTEL code into an NAPLPS code by providing a CPU, an NAPLPS encoder, an NAPLPS decoder and a PRESTEL decoder in a terminal device. CONSTITUTION:In case of an attribute character among PRESTEL codes, a basic character set and a mosaic set are changed over depending on the procedure of a call changing over a display set of the NAPLPS and a forground color and a background color are changed over using a PDI set. In case of a control character among PRESTEL codes, when a control set of the NAPLPS is used, pattern display information of the PRESTEL data displayed next is managed. Thus, the PRESTEL code is subject to conversion processing corresponding to the NAPLPS code. |
