PURPOSE:To reliably prevent locking of a rear wheel with a compact device, by opening a cut-off valve to hinder a hydraulic pressure in a wheel cylinder of a rear wheel from being increased over a predetermined value when a hydraulic pressure in a wheel cylinder of a front wheel is abnormally increased to exceed a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:When coefficient of friction between a road surface and a right wheel is smaller than that between a road surface and a left wheel, and a right front wheel is locked, a liquid in a wheel cylinder of the right front wheel is discharged to a reservoir. Therefore, hydraulic pressures in output chambers 79a and 80a in a pressure selecting valve device B are decreased to rightwardly move a piston 62. As a result, a left poppet valve member 72b is seated on a valve seat 75b, and a right valve member 72a is further moved away from a valve seat 74a. Accordingly, left output chambers 79b and 80b are cut off to stop supply of the liquid to a wheel cylinder of a right rear wheel. When the locking of the right front wheel is released, the piston 62 is leftwardly moved to release the cut-off condition and increase a braking force of the right rear wheel. Thus, a braking pressure of a rear wheel is controlled by a braking pressure of a front wheel on the same side to thereby prevent locking.
