摘要 PURPOSE:To increase illuminance largely, and to improve general-purpose properties by integrally combining a LED and a total reflection lens, forming an approximately parabolic curved surface, on which luminous flux radiated in the direction of the side surface of the LED is total-reflected to the front surface side, to the total reflection lens and prism-cutting the front surface of the total reflection lens. CONSTITUTION:Luminous flux (a) from the top section 13 of a LED in luminous flux radiated from a light-emitting element 12 for the LED 11 passes through a total reflection lens 15 as approximately parallel lines as it is and is extracted to the outside, and luminous flux (b) radiated from the side surface 14 of the LED is total-reflected to the front surface side by an approximately parabolic curved surface 17 in the total reflection lens 15, passes through the total reflection lens 15 and is extracted to the outside. Since the front surface of the total reflection lens 15 is formed to a prism cut 18 at that time, luminous fluxes (a), (b) extracted to the outside on the basis of the inclination of the prism cut is polarized at fixed angles. The degree of polarization is determined by the angle of the prism cut 18. Luminous flux radiated to the outside by the prism cut 18 can be polarized in the arbitrary direction in either case.
