PURPOSE:To control the generation of creases of the titled medium by specifying the distance between a substrate and the peripheral side surface of each guide roll and the contact angle between the guide roll and the substrate. CONSTITUTION:The distance between the peripheral side surface of an original film roll 5 and the peripheral side surface of a guide roll 6 with which a sub strate 4 is brought into contact immediately after the substrate is unwound from the original film roll, the distance between the peripheral side surface of a cylindrical can 3 and guide rolls 8 and 9 with which the substrate 4 moving along the peripheral side surface of the cylindrical can 3 is brought into contact immediately before and after the film contacts with the can and the distance between the peripheral side surface of a winding roll 12 and a guide roll 11 with which the substrate 4 to be wound by the roll 12 is brought into contact immediately before the substrate is wound by the roll are regulated to <=30mm. The contact angles theta1, theta2, theta3 and theta4 between the substrate 4 and each guide roll 6, 8, 9 and 11 are regulated to 30 deg.-240 deg.. Consequently, the crease generation of the substrate 4 is effectively controlled and the creases taken in by the wind ing roll 12 can be completely eliminated.
