PURPOSE:To regulate easily with a high accuracy a track width and a gap depth by executing separately a regulation of the track width and a regulation of the gap depth. CONSTITUTION:A gap depth GD is regulated by using a dicing saw, etc., cutting an oblique line part B of an I core and a C core, regulating a track width TX, and subsequently, cutting an oblique line part C of the I core 1 and the C core 2 by lapping, etc. When a cut depth from the upper face of the I core and the C core in case of regulating the gap depth GD is denoted as l2, a cut depth l1 is determined as l1>l2 so as to exert no influence on a track width TW, when regulating the gap depth GD. Also, a cut depth l2 is determined so as to be able to cut a crack, etc. generated at the time of cutting the oblique line part B, and the track width TW is worked with a high accuracy by a dicing saw, etc. In this way, it will suffice that lapping, etc. are executed by paying attention to only the gap depth GD, and the gap depth GD can be regulated easily with a high accuracy.
