PURPOSE:To manufacture favorable FRP whose fiber content is high, by making resin cure while tension is being given to a fiber by pushing a mold open through a stress-loading component. CONSTITUTION:A mold 1 is formed by penetrating a shaft 3 of a winding machine through a cylindrical mold body 2 along a shaft center direction of the cylindrical mold body 2. After a continuous fiber 6 impregnated with resin has been wound round the circumference of the mold body 2, the continuous fiber 6 is put into a curing furnace along with the mold 1. The stress-loading component 5 formed of a shape memory alloy in the mold 1 begins to deform. Mold half members 4, 4' constituting the mold body 2 are apt to slide in an axial direction so as to separate from each other, the resin is cured under a state wherein tension is applied to the fiber 6 wound round the mold body 2. When the same is cooled after curing, as the shape memory alloy forming the stress-loading component 5 is restored to an original form and the mold half members 4, 4' which have been kept opened at the time of the curing are closed, mold release characteristics of a molded article are favorable and demolding is guite easy. |
