<p>The device for receiving, packing and transferring sheet material, fed as a continuous strip (11), includes an advancing cylinder (31) for advancing the strip in cooperation with a friction roller (23). The strip is guided vertically onto a packaging plane (81) by a rectangular-section fixed guide (30). The strip presence in the cylinder-roller combination and the strip length passing through the combination is detected by sensors (94,95,96). Upon reaching the packaging plane, the strip is folded accordian-style, while a cutting blade (66) engages one edge of the folded strip.</p> |
