PURPOSE:To enable a machine tool to perform high efficient further multi-purpose machining by providing two sets of units, mounting a spindle and moving, and tables while providing individual NC units independently driving one by one each one of the two sets. CONSTITUTION:A machine tool holds the first ramstock 1 to the first saddle 2 slidably moved in the direction of a Z1-axis while the first saddle 2 slidably in the direction of a Y1-axis on a common crossed rail 5. The first table 4, corresponding to the first spindle 3 and loading a work, moves in the direction of an X1-axis. The machine tool constitutes the first machining unit by the first ramstock 1, first saddle 2, first spindle 3, first table 4 and driving motors 7, 8, driving these in the above, to be driven and controlled by an NC unit 12. Similarly, the machine tool constitutes the second machining unit by the second ramstock 1', second saddle 2', second spindle 3', second table 4' and driving motors 7', 8' to be driven and controlled by an NC unit 12'. |
