The extending slide shelf for writing desks has deep moulded recesses (13) running either side in the direction of movement. The edges are moulded into longitudinal and if required transverse reinforcement ribs (14,19). The bending forces which occur during use are now partially dissipated by the guide edge shape and imparted to the ribs. A saving of material is achieved during mfr. since the hitherto customary additional ribs can be dispensed with. The mfr. process is also simplified. |
