摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten the seek time, and to execute exactly the seek operation by providing an arithmetic means for calculating a moving extent of a head feed, and moving a head, based on an output of this arithmetic means. CONSTITUTION:A track address Tn for determining each zone is stored in a RAM, therefore, by comparing these values with Ta and Tb, a zone to which Ta and Tb belong is determined, and movement corresponding scale l is derived by an expression. Thereafter, a fine adjustment is executed by moving a lens, and when data is stored in the RAM by executing the sampling once, a seek operation can be executed by using data of the same RAM. In this way, the seek operation based on the scale graduation is executed exactly, and a difference between a position of after this movement and a target position becomes small, therefore, the time required for the movement of the fine adjustment is shortened.
