MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To record and reproduce information while bringing stably a magnetic head and a recording medium into contact with each other without degrading the durability and the magnetic characteristic by jetting a fluid from a fluid injection hole to press the recording medium to the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:Compressed air is sent to a fluid injection hole 10 at the information recording and reproducing time and the air pressure is used to bring a recording medium 9 into contact with the spherical surface of high curvature of a magnetic head 8 without strain, thereby improving the durability of the medium 9. The part to which air is jetted of the medium 9 is subjected to fluid friction not to damage the medium 9, and air is sent continuously to scatter and lose the heat due to friction between the head 8 and the medium 9 and the degradation of the durability or the magnetic characteristic due to heat is prevented.
