Compounds of the formula wherein X is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a trihalomethyl group, an alkyl group, or a cyano group, Y is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a trihalomethyl group, and Z is a substituted alkoxy group, and compositions containing these compounds exhibit herbicidal activity.
