An intermittently running drying press for drying bark or similar, consisting of one or more spinning rollers (1, 2) which are can be pressed together either on the inside or outside. In their rotation the rollers are borne by bearing supports (3), whereby the bearing supports receive at least a part of the rollers' load. At least one of the rollers (1) is also equipped with the press phase's support (24), whereby during the feeding and pressing phases, forces between the pressing surfaces of the rollers (1) and the press phase's support (24) have been relieved. After the feed phase, during the actual pressing phase when roller rotation stops and press force builds, the support (3) for this roller and the press phase's support (24) move in relation to one another so that the press phase's support (24) receives a large part or the largest part of the final press force.<IMAGE> |
