发明名称 CARRIER MATERIAL FOR DEVELOPING ELECTROSTATIC IMAGE
摘要 PURPOSE:To produce easily the titled carrier material consisting of Al and Fe in a specified ratio, maintaining sufficient magnetic permeability and having superior image reproducibility. CONSTITUTION:This carrier material for developing an electrostatic image consists of about 2-20wt%, preferably about 4-16% Al and the balance essentially Fe, maintains high magnetic permeability, increases the maximum image density and has improved image (especially fine line) reproducibility. It is preferable that the amount of impurities in the carrier material is regulated to <=about 20%. A slurry contg. fine magnetic powder having said composition and a binder is atomized to form spherical particles, the particles are dried and the resulting dry powder is sintered at about 400-1,200 deg.C in a nonoxidizing atmosphere to produce the carrier material. The surface of the carrier material is covered with an insulating material as required.
