PURPOSE:A lubricating oil for cold rolling of metallic material such as steel plate, etc., having improved lubricating properties and surface cleaning properties, standing long-period use, obtained by blending fats and oils with a specific dimer acid, a polymer acid and a specified ester. CONSTITUTION:Fats and oils are blended with (A) 0.5-10wt% dimer acid of 16-20C higher fatty acid unsaturated acid and/or polymer acid, and (B) 5.40wt% ester having 750-7,500mol.wt. obtained by condensing the component A with a polyol under heating to give a polyester and reacting the residual carboxyl group or hydroxyl group of the polyester with 1-22C alcohol or 12-22C fatty acid, to give the aimed lubricating oil. |
