PURPOSE:To stabilize triboelectrification amt. and to reproduce a stable image unaffected by changes of temp. and humidity by incorporating an optionally substd. pyridinium salt having a BF<->4 or BF<->6 as a counter ion. CONSTITUTION:A developer is prepared by mixing a styrene-butyl acrylate copolymer, carbon black, a low mol.wt. polyethylene wax, and the specified pyridinium salt, kneading the mixture, and pulverizing the cooled mixture, and mixing it with an iron powder, thus permitting a good image transferred by using this developer to be sufficiently high in density, quite freed of fog, and high in resolution to be obtained without scattering the toner around the image, and the developer to be superior in durability and almost not to cause filming on a photosensitive body, and damaging and staining fixing rollers at the time of long successive uses. |
