PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality image, by inputting a calibration signal for changing the input level of a receiving part to a receiving part and performing the calibration of the saturated level and linearity of the receiving part while utilizing calibrated data at the time of the processing of an image on the earth. CONSTITUTION:In a change-over device 20, the charp signal from a change-over device 15 uses or selects the CW signal from a frequency synthesizer 21 as a calibration signal by the command from a controller 22. A digital attenuator 18 can arbitrarily attenuate the calibration signal being the output signal of the change-over device 20 by the command from the controller 20. The calibration signal being the output signal of the digital attenuator 18 is sent to a duplexer 12. A receiving part 13 amplifies the output signal (receiving signal, calibration signal) of the duplexer 12 to send the same to a signal processing system. The calibration signal is data containing the characteristics of a radar apparatus, for example, informations of the linearity and saturation level of the receiving part and used in the processing of an image on the earth.
