PURPOSE:To keep the high dimensional accuracy of an opening part for exposure of terminal and at the same time to attain smooth finishing on both sides of an IC card, by forming the card main body of the upper and rear surface sides through heat press contact between a core part and an overlay and forming the opening part for exposure of terminal after said heat press contact. CONSTITUTION:Heat press contact is secured between an overlay 11 and a core part bar 10 containing a depressed part 14 into which a substrate 15 is set. Thus an upper surface side card main body 12 is obtained together with a rear surface side card main body 13. Then an opening part 16 for exposure of electrode terminal of the substrate 15 is formed on the overlay 11 of the main body 12. Then both main body parts 12 and 13 are adhered with each other at a normal temperature. This can omit heat treatment to be carried out after formation of the opening part. Thus the dimensional accuracy is kept at a high level for the opening part. Furthermore, the smooth finishing is pos sible for both sides of an IC card. |
