PURPOSE:To gather sensor information by generating a sense command automatically by a channel processing means when a device generates a unit check. CONSTITUTION:A device 260 generates status information on the unit check, which is sent to a controller 250, sent to CHP 23 through a channel device 240, and stored in a subchannel 270. A unit detecting circuit 231 detects the unit check and the sense information gathered from the controller 250 is stored in a sense information area 2702 after the detection. An interruption generating circuit 233 recognizes the device which initiates the I/O interruption from the unit check detection signal and receives a sense command, and then informs a CPU 22 of the I/O interruption after the sensor information ends to causes the interruption, so that the unit check and sense information on the device 260 are both reported to the CPU 22. |
