PURPOSE:To generate a desired gradient magnetic field to a measuring surface in an arbitrary direction, by calculating and forming gradient magnetic field data in reference three-axis directions for forming gradient magnetic fields in the direction at right angles to a set projection direction prior to measurement. CONSTITUTION:Gradient magnetic field data in the projection direction and orthogonal direction in the measuring surface set to a body to be measured are set and, prior to starting measurement, gradient magnetic data in reference three-axis directions for forming gradient magnetic fields in the projection direction and the orthogonal direction are calculated and formed on the basis of both set gradient magnetic field data to be written in a memory circuit part 7. On the basis of the gradient magnetic field data read from the circuit part 7, a current for a gradient magnetic field in each axial direction is supplied to a gradient magnetic field generating coil from a power source part 11 to synthesize a gradient magnetic field and gradient magnetic fields in a desired projection direction and a desired orthogonal direction to the measuring surface in an arbitrary direction are generated. |
