PURPOSE:To reproduce a stable image unaffected by changes of temp. and humidity with a stable triboelectrification amt. by incorporating a specified phosphonium salt. CONSTITUTION:The phosphonium salt is represented by formula I in which R1-R4 are each H, optionally substd. alkyl or cycloalkyl, such aryl or aralkyl, and A<-> is an anion. It is stable against heat and time lapse, and when it is contained in a developer, it is a good charge controller giving superior electrophotographic characteristics to the developer. It is added to the inside of the developer, preferably, in an amt. of 0.1-20pts.wt., especially, 0.5-10pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the binder resin, or it is added to the outside of the developer, preferably, in an amt. of 0.01-10pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the resin, and as the binder resin, polystyrene and paraffin wax are used alone or in a mixture. |
