PURPOSE:To remove dusts on a surface of a terminal and to eliminate an inferior connection by sliding a pin on the surface of the terminal by using a flexibility of the pin when a contact pin of an IC card reader contacts the terminal of the IC card. CONSTITUTION:A contact pin 1 of an IC card is made of a resilient material and a contacting section 1a of a terminal 3 is formed in a circular arcuate or a semi-sperical shape. From the figure (a), when a contact pin is lowered, its end contacting section 1a contacts the terminal 3 of an IC card 4 at a point of (a). When further the contact pin 1 is lowered, the pin is made deflectable, sliding on the surface of the terminal 3 in a direction shown by an arrow, moves to a contact point (b). Accordingly, after the contact, a cleaning on the surface of the terminal 3 is performed and the contact of the pin 1 and the terminal 3 is not influenced by dusts or dirt. |
