发明名称 HOT ROLLING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To extend the service life of roll and to improve the productivity in rolling and the surface quality of product, by enhancing the concentration of oxygen in the surface-atomosphere of rolling rolls during hot rolling, and forming stably a mill scale consisting essentially of Fe3O4 on the roll surface. CONSTITUTION:Nozzles 13a, 13b for supplying oxygen or peroxide are arranged at the outlet or inlet side of a finishing mill having work rolls 11 and backup rolls 12 in continuous hot rolling, and an oxygen enriched air or a mixture of peroxide and ordinary rolling oil is blown or sprayed to enhance the oxygen concentration of the surface atmosphere of work rolls 11. As the peroxide mentioned above, C9H12O2 or H2O2, etc. is used. The concentration of oxygen is preferably regulated to about <=47%. In this way, a fine, hard-to-peeling rolling scale consisting essentially of Fe3O4 excellent in resistances to wear and surface roughening is formed on the surface of work roll 11.
