PURPOSE:To enlarge and reduce an image of a body by emitting at least either of two pumping light beams as nonparallel luminous flux and making a composite vector substantially different at each point on a nonlinear medium. CONSTITUTION:A mask 2 is lighted by luminous flux 9 from a laser light source and light transmitted through the mask 2 is object light 10, which is transmitted through a half-mirror 3 and incident on the top surface of the nonlinear medium 1. Laser light 5 having the same wavelength with luminous flux 9 is converged temporarily through the lens 7 of a pumping light generator and then diverged to obtain divergent light 11,which is incident on the top surface of the medium 1. Laser light 6 having the same wavelength of the luminous flux 9, on the other hand, is passed through lenses 8a and 8b constituting a beam expander to become parallel luminous flux, which is incident on the reverse surface of the medium 1. In this case, the main light beam l1 of the divergent light 11 and the main light beam l2 of the parallel luminous flux 12 are aligned to each other. Then, generated light 13 projected from the medium 1 slants slightly to the object light 10 and forms an enlarged image of the mask 2. Further, the image is reduced similarly. |
