PURPOSE:To provide the titled agent containing a mixture of a specific organic phosphoric acid ester and ethoprophos or phenamiphos as an active component, exhibiting synergistic effect against May beetle (a soil vermin in plowed land) and nematode, and capable of completely controlling the vermin. CONSTITUTION:The objective insecticidal and nematocidal agent contains, as an active component, a mixture of (A) an organic phosphoric acid ester of formula I (R1 is alkyl; R2 is H, alkyl or unsaturated alkyl; R3 is alkyl or unsaturated alkyl) (e.g. the compound of formula II) and (B) O-ethyl S,S- dipropylphosphorodithioate (abbreviated as ethoprophos) or O-ethyl O-[3- methyl-4-(methylthio)phenol] N-isopropylphosphoroamidate (abbreviated as phenamiphos). EFFECT:A sure controlling effect can be attained at a low rate of application. The agent has no adverse effect to fish, shellfish and warm-blooded animal and can be applied without causing environmental pollution.
