PURPOSE:To remove efficiently a carrier particle not so as to reach a cleaning blade and to prevent the damage of the surface of the surface of a photosensitive body by using a device employing both a fur brush roll and a magnetic carrier collecting member for cleaning a residual toner. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning device 2, where the fur brush roller 5, the carrier collecting member 4 and the cleaning blade 3 are disposed in this order by viewing in a traveling direction shown by an arrow A from the upstream side, is closely installed on the image carrier (photosensitive drum) of a picture forming device utilizing electrophotographic process. The collecting member 4 incorporates a fixed magnet 4, has a nonmagnetic sleeve 4b, is rotated in the direction of an arrow B. Then the collected magnetic carrier is scraped away by a scraper 6. The fiber of the fur brush 5 is so controlled to contact its barrel with the photosensitive body 1, and the carrier and toner collected by a scraping member 7 are scraped away. The built-in toner and carrier are discharged to the outside of a box by a screw conveyer 8. Thus the carrier can insure the surface of the photosensitive body 1 against being damaged. |
