PURPOSE:To eliminate hardness in visual reading in the display, by showing a weighed value on a display unit based on the averaging when the sampled data is below the first set value and when it is between the first and second set values while varying. CONSTITUTION:The first set value P1 shall be larger by several ten to several hundred counts than the preceding measured value while the second set value P2 be larger by about 10 counts than measured value according to the OIML (International Organization lf Legal Metrology). Then, a load detecting section 1 generates an electrical signal corresponding to the load on a plate 1a and digitized data thereof is taken into a control section 2 at a specified cycle. The measured value is displayed 3 on an overload basis when the value of the sampled data X0 from the detector section 1 is above the set value P1 while it is displayed 3 on a tare-subtraction basis 4 when the value is below the set value P2. Then, when the data X0 is between the set values P1 and P2, the weighed value is displayed 3 subject to the subtraction 4 of the tare 4 with the data regarded as varying unless the difference between the means M of the latest (n) pieces of data and the present sampled data X1 is within a stable detection range B preset.
