<p>PURPOSE:To attain recovery of intermediate color with n-gradation in high speed by using a parallel comparator converting picture information for (i) picture elements' content into bit information and an i-bit parallel shift register. CONSTITUTION:A picture signal stored in a picture memory 2 in the unit of picture element is scanned by n-picture elements each and sent to an n-picture element parallel comparator 12. A reference gradation is decided by the comparator 12, it is compared with a density data of the picture signal and converted into n-string of 0 or 1 bit signals. The bit signal is stored in the n-bit parallel shift register 13 nearly simultaneously. After the picture signal for one line's content is transferred, it is stored in a latch 5 and a print pulse signal is inputted to a terminal 6 and the 1st gradation print is attained. Similar operations are repeated until the n-th gradation. Thus, the print time is reduced remarkably.</p> |
