PURPOSE:In purifying reverse transcriptase from a solubilized solution of RNA tumor virus, to purify efficiently a high-purity reverse transcriptase specimen containing no RNA decomposition enzyme, by carrying out gel filtration high- speed liquid chromatography. CONSTITUTION:A solubilized solution of RNA tumor virus (Rous-related virus 2, etc.) is dialyzed in a buffer solution useful for elution in gel filtration high- speed liquid chromatography. The total amount or part of the prepared internal solution of dialysis is fed to a gel filtration column for high-speed liquid chromatography, each fixed amount of eluate is fractionated in a test tube, fractions containing reverse transcriptase is collected, and purified reverse transcriptase containing no RNA decomposition enzyme is obtained. |
