PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent copy which is free from reverse copying and ground staining by using two chromatic original carrier sheets provided with a color discrimination display means and a color detecting means for them, and controlling the quantity of exposure light or a developing bias voltage. CONSTITUTION:An original 20 is sandwiched in a carrier sheet 40 which consists of chromatic base paper 41 and a chromatic transparent sheet 42 so that their one-end sides are joined together, and conveyed to an exposure part 24. Color discrimination display means 44a-44c formed by notching are provided at specific breadthwise positions of the conveyance-side front end of a carrier 40. Further, detectors 45a-45c consisting of a light emitting element and a photodetecting element is combination for color kind detection by using cuts 44a-45c of the original are arranged breadthwise crossing the conveyance direction. Consequently, the notching of the carrier 40, i.e. the kind of color is detected to control an image forming process as to the surface potential and developing bias voltage of a photosensitive body corresponding to the detection result. Thus, copying operation is performed under proper stepwise control suitable to the original and reverse copying and ground staining are prevented regardless of the original. |
