PURPOSE:To recognize data in the 1st CPU by allowing the 1st CPU to confirm the fixed pattern in data from the 2nd CPU when the 2nd CPU does not receive data from the 1st CPU. CONSTITUTION:In the data communication between CPUs of a master set and a terminal set of a key telephone set, the 1st CPU 3 of the master set 1 is added with fixed pattern data (header) at the head of data and the result is sent to the 2nd CPU 3' of the terminal telephone set 2, the CPU 3' detects the header to receive the data from the CPU 3 and then the data added with the fixed pattern at the final end of the data is sent to the CPU 3. After the CPU 3 sends the data and a prescribed time is counted, the data sent from the CPU 3' is received and the fixed pattern at the final end of the data is confirmed to discriminate the propriety of the data.
