ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE ROLLER AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PURPOSE:To obtain satisfactory conductiveness by disposing an electrically conductive fiber between the external surface of a core metal and a hard external layer and subjecting a soft foaming layer itself to no treatment which is to be done for offering electrically conductive characteristics. CONSTITUTION:By turning a core metal 1 in the circumferential direction, an electrically conductive fiber 4 is spirally wound on the internal surface 3a of a hard external layer in the axial direction thereof. A material is poured in a mold and foamed to form a soft foaming layer 2. At the same time the electrically conductive fiber 4 is thereby firmly settled between the external face 1a of the core metal and the internal surface 3a of the hard external layer. Thus by fixing only one end of the electrically conductive fiber 4 to the external face 1a of the core metal, electricity can be conducted between the external face 1a of the core metal and the internal face 3a of the hard surface layer without the need of any conducting treatment on the soft foaming layer 2 itself so that the satisfactory electric conductivity can be obtained.
