ROLLING REDUCTION APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR BUOYANT OCEAN STRUCTURE

PURPOSE:To reduce rolling effectively through compressed air in a tank and porous wall by arranging open-bottom tanks coupled through a duct having a valve at both lower sides of buoyant member while employing porous wall at the outside face coupling between both upper extended sections and the tanks. CONSTITUTION:Open-bottom rolling reduction tanks 2 are arranged while extending from both lower sides of a buoyant member 1 then coupled through an air duct 3. A valve 6 is arranged at the intermediate section of the air duct 3 while coupled through a partition valve X to a compression air source 4. Furthermore, porous walls 8 are employed for the upper extended sections at the opposite sides of the buoyant member and the outside face of each rolling reduction tank 2. Compressed air is encapsulated in each tank 2 then coupled through the air duct 3 to reduce the rolling moment while to reduce the wave force when the external fluid will pass through the porous wall 8. Rolling of the buoyant member can be reduced effectively through combined functions.
